自由に色を塗ることもできますが、数（アルファべット）を合わせて絵を完成させる遊びができるのがポイントです。絵柄に数字やアルファベットが書いてあり、同じ番号の色を塗っていくと、絵が仕上がるという仕組みで、完成すると音楽が流れて達成感も上々。数合わせの場合、絵柄の一部にふれるとその範囲が瞬時に塗りつぶされるので、塗り絵というよりもパズル感覚で楽しめます。また、番号のガイドがあることで、ふだん塗り絵に興味がないお子さんでも取り組みやすいようです。細かい絵柄もあるので、iPadで遊ぶのがおすすめ。絵柄が豊富だから、しばらく飽きずに楽しめそう。
親子でもっと楽しく
「８番の色はここの他にどこに使う？」「ここにあった！」など、番号探しゲームのように親子一緒に協力しながら楽しめるのがいいですね。色数は30種類。数字・アルファベットモードのときは色を選択する度に英語で30番までの音声が聞こえ、自由に塗れるモードにすると、30色の英語の名前を知ることができます。暗い色には最初に「Dark」がついて、明るい色には「Light」がつく、などの発見もありました。親子で取り組めば、ひとつの絵柄を完成させるのにかかる時間は長くても５分程度。短い時間で、過程を楽しみながら、完成させる喜びも味わえるアプリです。
いつもの遊びに取り入れて
塗り絵をきっかけに、世界の航空写真を楽しめるのがWorldMapモード。地図の塗り絵自体は簡単に完成できますが、塗った地域をチェックすると、なんとGoogleの世界地図が現れ、拡大を繰り返していくと自宅の場所までたどり着くこともできます！ 世界地図の探検旅行は、時間を忘れて楽しめますよ。
